- Miss Alice LIVERMORE is spending the
remainder of the vacation with relatives at Richburg.
- Mrs. J.F.B, SANTEE and her children of
Hornellsville, have been in town for a few days.
- Mrs. Benj. W. BENTLEY of Westerly R.I.
has been calling on friends in town for a few days past.
- It is said that the Horseshoe falls at Niagara
has worn away over fifty feet in the past thirteen years.
- The body of the late Dr. GRAFF of
Elmira was taken to the crematory at Lancaster, Pa., and cremated.
- Miss Myrla BLISS has returned from a
very pleasant visit at Shiloh, N.J. She know fills her old position at the
bank.
- As we go to press, we learn that Dr. M.B. COTTRELL
of this village, and Miss Minnie VANTINE of Friendship, were married
in Elmira on Tuesday evening.
- Ed COATES formerly of this vicinity,
but recently of Marion county, Florida, arrived in town last week to spend
some little time with relatives and friends. He reports himself well pleased
with his new home, and says everything is in a flourishing condition in that
country.
- Mr. & Mrs. Will H. CRANDALL
returned Tuesday noon from their weeks vacation.
- Rev. E.P. SAUNDERS was absent the first
of the week in attendance upon the Tract Board Meeting at Plainfield, N.J.
He returned Tuesday noon.
- Mr. & Mrs. Arthur B. GREEN returned
from their wedding tour in the East, last Thursday, and Thursday evening
they gave a reception to their many friends at the residence of Philip GREEN.
About one hundred were in attendance, and the evening was passed very
enjoyably. That the pathway of life may ever be as propitious for Mr. &
Mrs. GREEN as it present is the wish at the Sun.
- We regret to learn that the case of Mr. ALBERTI
whom we mentioned recently as being injured on train three, has developed
most serious spinal combinations. Sunday four physicians - Drs. GREEN
and SHEPPARD of Alfred, and Drs. CRANDALL of Andover and ROBINSON
of Hornellsville were in consultation on his case. They agreed fully as to
his difficulty. Our earnest sympathies are extended to Mr. ALBERTI
and the family, who are doing everything in their power to make him
comfortable.
